They would add punch to the most basic white tee pencil skirt ensemble. Some things we were able to say "yes, love!" to, and mean it.

Took another little jaunt into the land of print mixing. This time with a printed dress and leopard booties. I have secretly decided that leopard print is a solid, I mean it goes with everything no?! On FNO2011 I soooo wanted these booties but never got them. Low and behold I found them for more that 50% off their original price at Neiman Marcus Last Call online! Win! 

Some of my lovely friends and I got together for buffalo wings, $5 Margaritas, and hilariously running down and dissecting some current events.

I didn't get a picture of this cute little sweater dress without the fall layers. But it's another reason I'm loving Joe Fresh! Also for my petite chickies out there, I know lengths are ALWAYS an issue. Gap offers just about everything in a petite cut online, including this jacket. A denim jacket is a staple, so go with one that fits!

From prints to solids. And another petite Gap win with these skinnies! When pants or dresses come with a belt (if it's a good one) I feel like my purchase was that much smarter. It's kinda like the feeling of "getting over" when your chinese food comes in reusable containers. It's the single girl's GladWare! Pick your wins people. This fun pink belt was one of those wins and it added a little oomph to this navy moment.

Boogie Nights

It's official, summer is over. *tear* However a couple weeks ago when the days were full of sunshine and the nights didn't require a quilt a group of friends and I set out for a lovely Friday night.

Clockwise from top: Mac and Cheese Croquettes, Skirt Steak slider, Lobster Corn Dogs, Lobster BLT slider. We also got French Fried Mashed potatoes (as buttery and fried as you can imagine).

 One of my Danielle's and I started at Pounds and Ounces (we had gone earlier in the week, and had to go back for the food) where we gorged oursleves on delicious food. The Lobster BLT, Mac and Cheese croquettes, and the French Fried Mash were sooooo good.  The bartender also whipped us up some tasty margaritas.

Afterward we met up with another one of my Danielle's and group of others at The Beekman Beer Garden on Pier 17 for a Mixologi x NYC hosted bash.

This is my "I'm having a REALLY good time" face. You all have one too I know it! Don't judge me people! 

The DJ was Tots Amaze and we danced and sung along at the top of our lungs until the wee hours of the morning. My throat was sore for 2 days after! 

Print on print on solid

I have lamented my love for J. Crew and most of it stems from the way they mix and match those prints! I have kept the stills from the Fall 12 presentation ever in mind and today, I mixed! What I realized however is that although I LOVE print mixing, my wardrobe is largely solid, well at least tops. Seriously, a fitted white tee goes with everything (a post on that later). So I had to go a different route to get to the mix.

Luckily I just snagged these awesome camo print calf hair loafers. The Gap has really been coming through lately. Get them here.

I added this multi color necklace to add a little punch. Do you ever feel like everyone around you is finding great stuff on eBay and like it just never happens for you? Just me?

Pounds and Ounces

I'm a sucker for an event offering hor d'oeuvres and a open bar. I think it's the setting for a perfect night!

This was the case for Pounds and Ounces and with a gorgerous friend in tow, we set out.

The finger foods and speciality cocktails did not disappoint and the staff was super cute. The menu looked beyond tasty and we made plans to return! The night was a definite win.

Mac and Cheese Croquettes 

I've recommited myself to my natural hair and twisted the best Bantu knots for a super cute knot out. Sadly my hair wasn't dry and so i had to don a scarf.  I think it came out pretty OK the next day!

 Do you ever find that from one day to the next you grab a close at hand element for day to day dressing? Just me? I see these shoes on the floor and suddenly they go with everything. Ahhh well such  is life :-)

Legacy
