Be All You Can Be

I Goggled "camo" soooo many awesome images. The love affair is real.

Camo is seriously a "forever print," will there ever be a moment where it's not haute? I think not!

Juniverse

Did you catch the fab June Ambrose in this cold weather get up on Instagram?

Ummm June, GIMMIE THAT COAT!! Throw in the hat while you're at it, please and thank you. While we're on the subject of June, looking back through my photo stream I found these of her from Fashion Week.

I would live in an outfit inspired by this. It's sexy, it's relaxed, it's colorful, it's neutral, it's everything! Her gams are winning and I'm doing lunges while writing this.....

Florals -N- Paint

Everyone's favorite affordable fast fashion chain H&M is going hard for the printed pants and I've fell victim. I nabbed these floral and paint spattered pants recently and I think for both fall and spring they'll be awesome.

H&M dress as top, H&M pants, Aldo pumps
I wore this nude colored dress as a top for half of the day, then decided I liked the look of the dress as a dress a little more than I thought I did so I swiched it up. My co workers find me endlessly entertaining. Lol!

Still trying to not wear a winter coat and winning!

Electric Holiday

For holiday 2012, Barneys New York and The Walt Disney Company collaborated to create ELECTRIC HOLIDAY, blending the creativity and magic of Disney with the wit and surprise of Barneys New York.

Join Minnie Mouse and your favorite Disney characters on a fabulous fashion adventure in Paris, with special guest stars along the way. Plus, for a limited time, visit Barneys New York's Electric Holiday store for exclusive limited-edition holiday gifts, from designer Mickey Mouse ears to children's toys and sweet treats.

Nicholas Ghesquière and Alber Elbaz are responsible for some of the film’s runway creations, whileGuido Palau, Pat McGrath, and Julien d’Ys make sure Minnie and friends are runway-ready on the beauty front—after all, Steven Meisel, Mario Sorrenti and Juergen Teller have their cameras ready throughout the film.

Sitting front row for the Electric Holiday spectacular are editors Carine Roitfeld, Anna Dello Russo, Cathy Horyn, Glenda Bailey, Bridget Foley, Emmanuelle Alt, Suzy Menkes and Franca Sozzani, poised and ready to review, while KCD’s Ed Filipowski oversees the production.
And of course, what fashion moment is complete without some characters? Daphne Guinness, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lady Gaga, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Bryan Boy are all on the scene as well, bringing a little more color to the moving art film. (source)

Dear Jenna

Jenna Lyons is the creative director of our beloved J. Crew. Clocking in at 6 feet tall, her quirkiness reads as total glamour and we love it!

Home girl definitely knows how to work leather and denim, am I right? We'll be looking to Jenna for inspirations, will you?

So Blue

I have an aversion to coats. It's a little hard to find one that fits a super petite in a "flattering in every kinda way".....way. So I layer. And nothing is better for added warmth than a chunky sweater. Due to the interesting scene that can be H&M I scored this bright blue sweater for free!!

H&M sweater, Urban Outfitters denim shirt, F21 leggings, Sam Edelman boots. H&M necklace

Eventually it'll get too cold for sweaters and leather jackets but for now I'll revel in the layered coziness.

Desert Storming

Everyone loves fatigues right? Camo and leopard print are, at this point basics for everyone no? I went out to my my local resale shop in search of a vintage camo jacket. I tried on several, all sadly way to big for my frame. The store clerk was nice enough to explain that the fatigues are actual uniforms, issued to actual soldiers that have been donated or sold by said soldiers, and most soldiers aren't my size. Well a big DUH to me.

So instead I ended up with this desert fatigue jacket, and I have to say I kinda love it. Our wonderful government also doesn't really distinguish between men's and women's so the cut will always be a little boxy, a tip to remember when you're in hunt of your own.

Vintage jacket, H&M Sweatshirt, Gap denim, Jeffery Campbell Cleata booties, Gap bag

Well there you have it I'm ready for war! Orrrrr a serious sale, whichever I stumble upon first. Still on the hunt for a good green camo print jacket after all!

Tried a couple different poses, you know still trying to work this whole outfit posting out.

BARACKing the Vote

Well folks the election is over and my President is BACK!
Although I am a current resident of the wonderland that is NYC, I keep a permanent residence in the great state of Ohio where I cast an absentee ballot. My hometown swing state needs my vote!

Some friends and I attended a watch party to celebrate the momentous night!

Bathroom Selfie! Asos jacket, old tux tee, H&M pants, F21 necklace
I decided to go "formal" for the occasion.

We had the best time! Nail biting, cheers toasting, food nibbling, Mitt boo-ing, group dancing, picture snapping and ultimately Fantastical Cheering!!!

Congrats Mr. President!

How did you spend your election night?
