Another sweater win from JCP and this time it's cashmere.

I fixed the red eye in the picture like 3 times it just wouldn't take!

I felt a little "bad girl/rocker" in this number. My MAC color is even called Rebel! It was a good style day.

What do you wear when your body is tired from Soul Cycle the night before, you have a serious case of insomnia, wake up late for work and your curls are dead from previously mentioned cycle class. This is what I came up with.

This was the first time I tried Soul Cycle after being told it's the best thing since sliced bread (well you know, workout wise which is not fun no matter WHAT) by several sources. Now, I haven't been in a gym since before Christmas so I'm alllllll types of not prepared for what went down in that dark, loud room. I made it through, barely, and I'll say I'm not a convert, yet. I get the appeal, but I'm just not a huge fan of spinning. Put me on a real bike all day!

Purple People Eater

This was my Super Bowl Sunday get up and the sweater wasn't a good idea when I was dancing along with Beyonce. Mama was SwEaTiNg!

The sweater is a recent find at JCPenny. I swear I didn't know they were winning like this these days. I'm a total JCP shopper now! Also tried something new agian with this hair, but it looks the same! LOL I think I'm going to have to take the leap and color it. I'm getting a little bored.

Mickalene Thomas

A beautiful Saturday spent at the Brooklyn Museum. 

Brooklyn artist Mickalene Thomas is best known for her elaborate, collage-inspired paintings, embellished with rhinestones, enamel, and colorful acrylics. Her depictions of African American women explore a spectrum of black female beauty and sexual identity while constructing images of femininity and power. Origin of the Universe, Thomas’s first solo museum exhibition, highlights recent bodies of work that examine interior and exterior environments in relation to the female figure. Their settings are often inspired by her 1970s childhood. (source)

The exhibit also featured a short biographical film on Thomas's mother.  I loved the whole thing! The movie was touching, the bold images of women of color, the variety of textures and colors. Love. I wanted to take several things home....sigh.

Had my big girl pants on!

I've had these pants for a couple years and this may be my favorite outfit I've used them in, and it's so simple! In my head the night before I had them with a neon tank and a grey sweater, but in the morning rush the tank was MIA so this was plan B.

I loved that it looked kinda weird when the wind caught them and you really see how big they were. Comfy + Cute = Love. Tried a little something different with my hair too!
