The 90 year old fashion icon was the subject of a 2005 MoMA exhibit and subsequent book, she is the subject of an upcoming documentary and is set to launch a line of accessories with the Home Shopping Network available this September. Mrs. Apfel is an icon because of her fearless quirky style and “more is more” approach to accessories. The New York Times art critic Roberta Smith once wrote, “Before multiculturalism was a word, Mrs. Apfel was wearing it.” Treasured Trinket is all about the love of accessorizing in a unique way.
