Cinch it!

The amount of walking in NYC is re-DIC! I'm a fan of heels for the added height but a girl needs a break every now and again. My mother will praise the day I wear sneakers for travel, but these boots will have to do!

Brooks Brothers blazer, Gap belt, F21 leggings, Steve Madden boots, H&M necklace

Later that evening I added heels and a clutch that used to belong to my Grandmother to hit a little "school night" shin dig.

In the years since I have inherited this clutch I have worn it with a multitude of outfits. It always seems to add just the right amount of something. God bless Grannies and their instant vintage treasure.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Years!!!

Merry Christmas

The crew got together to do our annual gift exchange/potluck!

Yes we had Popeye's at our potluck. Gotta love that chicken!

There are some HILARIOUS videos on YouTube. We had ourselves in stitches, enhanced of course by the holiday "spirits!"

I love these pants!!!

My bestie was my secret santa and got me the most thoughtful gift!

There's nothing like getting together with your girl friends. From natural hair, to current events we covered it all. We use a great site called Elfster for our gift exchange. It does the picking for you and you can easily add stuff to your wish list.

Keira of BklynQueens got us the super cute antlers. Thanks Kei!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Hope everyone had a great holiday!

Hectic

I felt good about this outfit last week but work was a little cray! With the holidays always comes that mad rush to get stuff done. We all know we're about to mentally, and usually physically, check out from the 9-5 life so maybe we feel like a little guilty?! #WorkLifePressure. Anywho, my work space was a mess and these pics were taken in a rush!

Holister jacket, H&M top, F21 pants, Stella McCartney shoes

I got these shoes at a Stella McCartney sample sale in 2008 while in London doing an internship. I absolutely love them and whenever I wear them I get tons of compliments! Classic shopping, it will not let you down.

Me and animal print are becoming really, really close friends. I feel like in every other post I'm wearing it!

Merry Christmas!!! I hope Santa brings you everything on your wish list!

D.I.Y

We are sadly not big Do It Yourself-ers but that doesn't stop us from dreaming, or secretly hoarding supplies (shhhh). There are some great projects out there that seem fairly easy (yay!) and super cute! Some favorites we've stubbled upon and just might try. Two may even make great thoughtful and pocket friendly Christmas gifts!

Looky Loo

I have a love hate relationship with bubble skirts. I love the shape but it doesn't always love me back. The color, shine, and leopard print on this one meant I had to give it a try, I've styled it about 3 other ways in my head so I'll see how I feel about it later.

F21 cardigan, H&M skirt, Urban Outfitters tights, Linea Paolo booties

I've had this cardigan for about 5 years and I almost throw it away at least once a year, but somehow it ends up staying. These Linea Paolo booties have also been with me a while, just rediscovered them and they've been getting a lot of milage.

After a little googling I learned the Linea Paolo brand is no longer available. I think it was about 2007 when I purchased this pair. They are a quality pair of boots that have stood the test of time design wise, and I don't recall spending too much on them. Shame.

These tights are also my new favorite. Till next time!

Thanks for the Panettone

Company Holiday Party, here's what I wore!

Top Shop cardigan, Brooks Brothers Button up, Asos pants, Steve Madden shoes, F21 earrings

I foud these shoes at Nordstrom Rack for $25. They never have anything I love in my teeny, tiny size, (I'm a 5.5 if anyone wants to buy me shoes) so when I saw these they had to be mine.

I used sparkle to give myself the hoilday feel, but of course went the opposite of "Christmas" with the lepoard shoes and pink pants. There was sooooo much plaid at this party. Seriously, it was like everyone had done a DIY project with a Christmas tree skirt.

Up close on my bling!

Did your company throw a swinging, hot party, or was it during working hours with no booze?

Rajni Jacques

Ranji Jacques, Glamour magazine Fashion Features Editor, and one of Complex magazines 50 most stylish women in New York. This chick has a fearless style, often mixing high fashion with elements influenced by her side gig as a DJ, like cool sneaks and Yankee fitted caps. Hailing from New Jersey, born to Haitian parents, this electric lady found her way into fashion completely by accident! Clearly she's where she belongs.

Rajni's top three fashion tips:
1. If you find a piece you love, buy it in every color.
2. Know what items fit your silhouette perfectly. Also, tailor everything to fit you.
3. Never wear looks that are straight off the runway, be creative and inject your own style into the ensemble.
