Lanvin

Lanvin was wildly celebrated for picking "regular people" for their fall '12 campaign, but when we got to see each of the wildly diverse models chat about, well, whatever, we were even more taken with the concept. With voiceovers talking about anything from bands and frozen blueberries to missing bicycles, each of the models tell their own stories while showing off Lanvin's fall collection.

Laden with peplum dresses, fur-lined coats, and other gorgeous Alber Elbaz-created wintry wear, each individual poses with stop-motion photography while they tell their stories. The effect is humanizing, charming, and why we love Lanvin. Our favorite? "Eh...if I could be, I'd like to be, eh, say like, eh, James Bond!" Just check it out and see what we're talking about. FNO 2012

Super late, but a little on my Fashion Night Out. This year our fab group headed down to the meatpacking district. We spotted, Joe Zee, Jennifer Hudson, and a ton of crazy dancers at the Tracey Reese store.

F21 tee, H&M pants, Gap belt, Gap shoes, Trinkets

Trinkets!

I thought this was interesting lol

Target "The Shops"

The Ladies

Completely unplanned the ladies and I all showed up in black on black, and black and white ensembles!

The crowds were beyond cray but I was able to grab this cool sweater at the Target Shops by Kirna Zabete.

What did you do for FNO?

Virtual Shopping bag

I love online shopping. I mean there's nothing like going in a store, standing in line and experiencing that instant gratification, but I feel like online shopping is kinda like sending myself gifts. And who doesn't like a gift?!

With fall nearly here, every fashion rag's September issue dog-eared with inspiration, and new collections at all my fav stores I've become a hoarder of virtual shopping bags. As with any fashionista on a serious budget (also a one woman business owner) serious thought has to go into new purchases. I've always been kind of a classic shopper and this season is no different. Some items below that I've either pulled the trigger on or have stowed away in a virtual shopping bag. What's on your fall must have list?

Nine West

Top Shop

Aldo

Zara

Cole Haan
Ebay

Minnetonka Moccasin

Steve Madden

Gap

Posin'

Because I'm still not great with whole "outfit pictures" but determined to share anyway!

Headed out to a day party with all my college girlfriends and used the opportunity to show off some Trinkets!

Joe Fresh dress, Warrior body chain, vintage earrings, Nine West shoes

This top so very quickly became a favorite. I can never resist a boat neck.

Joe Fresh Top, F21 leggins, Steve Madden shoes

I guess I could have called this post "Joe Fresh" I will admit I've become a little hooked.

Boxing Kitten

It looks like boxing kitten designer Maya Amina Lake has taken the brand in a more sophisticated direction with her Fall 2012 collection, and we love it!

Golden

So still working on the whole picture taking thing.

I wore this little get up to a conference for work.

ASOS blouse, H&M pants, Steven by Steve Madden shoes, MK watch

This blouse is a little big but I love the color and flowiness of it so it stays in my rotation. You can't tell in the picture (iPhone photos sorry!) but this top gets very wrinkly! I spent 20 minutes ironing it, and after my work commute it looked like I pulled it from the closet and threw it over my head! Also if these outfit posts continue you will all come to learn of my love affair with black leggins. Seriously, they go with everything for every occasion! hahaha For special work moments I thought real pants appropriate.

I'll have to get a real photog and not just ask whoever I'm with to take one lame picture of me. Hey I'm a work in progress.

There's new stuff in the shop! Check it out!
