Fancy Tee

At the end of the day Mama wants to be comfortable, and that's really just that. I used this eBay sourced vintage desert storm tee in a different post, and the truth is I wear it quite often.

vintage tee, F21 leggings, TopShop cardigan, Converse sneaks
Converse All Stars, they should either be crisp and clean, or lovingly worn. My issue is that I feel like I'm leaving lovingly worn and entering homeless dirty territory. I was however assured by my lady friends that it's ok if parts of white shoes are legit brown, so there! I love leggings. That is all.

Loosen up my Buttons Babe

Pussycat Dolls song, I'm a little ashamed to say it used to be my jam.

F21 dress, Bitten Turtle neck, drugstore tights, Lina Paolo booties.
I really love this dress. It's secretly too big but it was the only one in the store and I love the buttons up the back! In the warmer months it's a total easy "throw on with your fav sandal and go" situation with a little sexy back action. Although I will admit for work double sided tape is necessary as to avoid being overly exposed when the shoulder happens to slip down. And yes you read that right, I'm wearing a Bitten by SJP turtleneck, I throw nothing away!

The hair experimentation continues. This was a wash-n-go with Kinky Curly Coiling Custard. The shrinkage was REAL so until I have more growth, no more was-n-go's for me. It also looked and felt a little dry. #NaturalHairStruggles.

Also please excuse that shoe! Hahahahaha!

Geek Flag

And the camo love keeps coming.
Gap jacket, pants and shoes, F21 blouse, Brooks Brothers white shirt

Missed out on a different pair of camo pants at Gap, but then saw these and everything on the site was 35% off! Score. Big fan of Gap offering petite sizes I didn't need a cuff or nothing Jesus! (Sweet Brown reference, you should know that).

I've said it before but this blog really makes me examine what I wear on a regular basis. I don't get dressed specifically to post, generally my posts are what I wore for the whole day, to work and beyond. Thus decisions are made in the wee hours of the early morn when I've probably been up too late the night before catching up on Game of Thrones or Walking Dead.

With that being said, I pulled this blouse from a drawer because I hadn't worn it in forever, and I felt I've done a plain button up so many times before. I thought it was a pretty fun combo of the bows and the camo. I'll also mention that I'm having a not great hair day (it was really 2 bad hair days, the other you'll catch later) but allow me to explain. I rediscovered The Sims. If you play you understand, if not then just know it's a deep, dark, time sucking, simulation hole. This prevented me from giving my bun the time and attention it deserved.
If you think my hair looks tots amaze, then please ignore the last bit of the previous paragraph and allow me to say thanks!

Till next time!

Sir yes sir

When you share your wish list, help will come. My lady friend knew I was in search of a camo jacket and she delivered! I already have this jacket, but was looking for a proper green one. It's a Target buy, but sadly already out of stock.

Target camo jacket, F21 tee, Dolce and Gabbana skirt, Also pumps.

I paired it with this floral Dolce and Gabbana pencil skirt because it felt pretty. When it doubt, throw on a white tee. I've said it before but they seriously go with everything.! I love the pearl buttons on the slit of the skirt, so ladylike.

Loving this bun right!? Marly hair and a couple hair pins, def my new go to.

For an afterwork "step out" in Harlem I covered my legs for warmth, added glasses and sista girl sized hoops.

I'm in love this this jacket and it's been a struggle to not add it to every outfit.

Love on Top

This may or may not be a super late post about what I wore on Valentine's Day.....

I hate laundry. Like I live and work for the day I can hire a housekeeper! So this top which I've had for the longlest and usully lives at the bottom of the drawer got to see the light of day because the back log of laundry was serious. Don't judge me.
Gap jacket, random top, F21 skirt, Steve Madden shoes, TT necklace

I was having a good hair day! Till next time!

Natile Joos

Natalie Joos, I just want to live in her closet. Ms. Joos, one of NY's finest casting directors, a Belgium native moved to NY thirteen years ago, and has become a street style darling. In 2003 she stated her own casting company and has since lent her experience in famous faces to the runways and presentations to the like of of Hugo Boss, Helmut Lang, Philip Lim, and Rocawear.

She in routinely photographed and featured on style blogs and we can see why! With her vintage meets runway esthetic she is a wealth of personal style inspiration. The blog she started in 2011, Tales of Endearment, has become a routine read of ours.

Joos was asked lend a little of her magic to the Coach Legacy ad this summer. We featured a few of the images in this post. Seriously loving her style!
