Man vs. Food

Adam Richman made the voyage to Cleveland!! He visited the West Side Market for a giant gyro, Melt Bar and grill for a mammoth grilled cheese and my favorite, Hot Sauce Williams for a polish boy. Hot Sauce Williams is a C-Town institution and the polish boy the city’s pride and joy! Every time I go home for a visit my first stop is Hot Sauce Williams. I even worked at the E. 125 St. location the summer after I graduated from high school. Here is the complete episode of Man vs. Food: Cleveland, the polish boy feature starts at the 6 minute mark.

Here are a few images captured by my 6 year old God-daughter during my last Hot Sauce pilgrimage.

The Polish Boy!! Mmmmm

The next time you're in Cleveland please check them out and bring a Polish Boy back for me!

Kitchenette

I want to tell you about a gem of a place I’ve “discovered.” Kitchenette is the cutest, coziest restaurant.

I’ve only visited the Uptown location at W. 123 and Amsterdam Ave. but there is a second location on Chambers St. They make a lot of their food and condiments in house and have a pastry case that will make even the most weight conscious lady treat herself. I tried several menu items, they have excellent breakfast choices, and the sandwiches are great. The décor is comprised of mostly recycled and found objects which for me, only makes the food that much tastier. My only complaint is the week-end brunch menu. It differs from the regular weekday afternoon menu and not always for the best, but the food is great none the less.

The pictures below were taken with my phone so excuse the quality. On this day I had a BLT and my roommate Roz had the Farmhouse breakfast. Didn’t think about taking pics until after we were done, Ahahaha, sorry! All the sandwiches come with a pickle that is made in house and they are THE MOST delicious pickles EVER!
